Applications: IME acts as a basic brightener in alkaline zinc and zinc-alloy plating, leveling agent in cyanide-free baths and  cyanide baths. IME is usually used in combination with top brighteners. It is normally employed at a concentration of 10-100mg/L. The compatibility of IME with conventional top brighteners is good. IME has been shown to perform particularly well in combination with BPC- 48.
